  17. <p>     The youth of today may be the patrons of tomorrow, but
  18. classical music is losing those potential subscribers to rock
  19. 'n' roll. "There has been a real panic in this industry," says
  20. DAVID EATON, conductor of the New York City Symphony. Eager to
  21. reel in the younger crowd, the orchestra is trying a meeting of
  22. the minds by teaming up with the heavy-metal group ANCESTORS at
  23. Carnegie Hall next week. The concert will include three
  24. Ancestors tunes rearranged for orchestral accompaniment. "It's
  25. like a reconciliation between enemies," says lead singer Joe
  26. Longo.
